As a young teen growing up in Oklahoma, my interests were centered on media. I published and distributed a weekly neighborhood newsletter. I obsessed over both the words and the graphics. That was 24 years before the Apple Mac changed the world of design. • Then, there was broadcast radio. Influenced by Wolfman Jack on the border-blaster XERF-AM, I knew I would someday be behind the microphone. What I never imagined is that I would be Wolfman Jack’s head of marketing in the 80s. • Over my 50-plus years in media and marketing, my dreams were realized thanks to Unexpected Connections. • During a decade in the entertainment industry in Hollywood, I discovered I had a talent for promotion and publicity.
