Dan Acree has more than 35 years experience in media, advertising and marketing. Importantly, his background spans a number of industries and disciplines.

As one of the youngest radio personalities in Los Angeles in the 1960's and later as one of the most respected marketing directors in his industry, Dan Acree understands media—inside and out—better than most.

Following a stint in the Army (Ft. Hood, TX) during the Vietnam era, Dan worked through the early '70s as a programmer, as FM emerged and supplanted AM radio as a dominant force in music.

It was during his years in Oklahoma and Texas radio that he was discovered by border radio legend, Wolfman Jack. In 1979, Wolfman brought Dan to Hollywood as his VP for Marketing and Promotion.

He spent the next 10 years in the Hollywood entertainment industry working with stars of film, television and music.

In the music industry Dan managed publicity for recording artists like Stephanie Mills, Frankie Valli, Paul Revere and The Raiders, Francé Joli, Manhattan Transfer, Roseanne Cash, Bennie Mardones, Randy Jackson (The Jackson's), Foxy, Peaches & Herb, Michael Franks, and others.

He also worked with the stars of top-ten TV series like CHiPs (NBC) and Three's Company (ABC), The Young and the Restless (ABC), Live at the Improv, and soon-to-be-stars like Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman), Phil Hartman and Mary Kay Place.

As a public relations professional he supervised the telecast publicity for a number of major events including The Grammy's® and the Miss Universe®, Miss USA® and Miss Teen USA® pageants televised to a worldwide audience on CBS-TV.

In a return to broadcasting in the early '90s, Dan helped re-establish San Francisco's heritage rock 'n' roll radio stations KSFO and KYA to their former glory in an oldies format.

He also created and staged a salute to the 25th Anniversary of The Beatles Last Concert at the Hard Rock Cafe. He worked with quintessential rock 'n' roll concert photographer Jim Marshall, garnering major internationally coverage. As a thank you to Dan, Marshall gifted him four signed prints made from the historic 1966 event original negatives.

After founding a successful newsletter for the radio industry, Dan moved his operations to a more centrally-located Houston, Texas where he founded his first full-service advertising agency.

For the next seven years, Acree Creative was a well-known provider of high-quality graphic design for companies like Compaq Computer, British Petroleum (BP), Mobil Oil, Shell Oil, dozens of software and hardware companies, and more than 35 banks and credits unions in major cities from New York City to San Diego, California.

With the depression in both technology and petroleum, Dan switched gears to publishing, and Acree Creative established a good business designing and launching newspapers in Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona. Through his involvement with several community shopper publications, he moved his operation to Denison, Texas just north of the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex, in 2000.

Today, Acree Creative represents clients of all sizes, and categories. From helping local business owners double their sales--to launching a new electronics product to the world--Acree Creative brings tremendous experience, integrity, and value to every client project.
